
We are proud to present our first publication
„COPY SHOP – Legacy“.
In five parts it features the status quo of our ongoing project COPY SHOP. Our approach was to give a full documentation of the three COPY SHOP events, the print matter we created and most important the outcome and works of the participants that came to our shop. The works featured in the book reachs from visual statements of students and employees of the University of Art and Design Offenbach, Germany to the selections of the invited Designers/Studios of the 3rd COPY SHOP, which took place at the the archives of Germanys unique typography & book museum Museum Klingspor in Offenbach, Germany.
These findings are published for the first time in this particular compilation.
Apart from documenting the past events our goal was also to investigate the whole variety of copy aesthetics, you can find one different method in every chapter of the book.
After all we pushed the process of developing our own COPY SHOP font forward and created the font family „AG_COPY_SHOP“ with six weights from Thin to Fat.
The complete typeface is presented in chapter four.
